ABOUT DR. SCHWARTZ
Dr. Ira M. Schwartz has been practicing orthodontics since 1980. He obtained his doctorate and a certificate in orthodontics from Howard University College of Dentistry. Dr. Schwartz completed his postgraduate work as an assistant clinical professor of orthodontics at NYU College of Dentistry. While serving in this capacity, he was responsible for case selection and preparation and organized the interdepartmental planning of treatment cases.
In addition to practicing orthodontics exclusively in Bayside and Great Neck, NY, Dr. Schwartz is also on the staff of the Department of Dental Medicine, Division of Pediatric Dentistry at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, and the Queens County Chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Schwartz is also a member the Northern Queens Dental Study Club, Whitestone Dental Study Club, Queensboro Dental Study Club, the New York University Orthodontic Alumni Society and the New York University Edgewise Instructors’ Group.
